Owl Poetry & Prose

Death is…

Death is the one certainty in life

Yet it is one of the hardest things to accept

Perhaps because it is so certainly an end

Or is it?

We are after all, energy and matter

And both don’t go away, they just transform

Into something more, something new

Perhaps death frees us from this body

So that we may travel and embody

Something else, something more, something new

And in this constant renewal

Our journey carries with us the energies of the past

Nothing less, nothing more

Just the good, the bad or the ugly

And maybe this is why we are asked to focus on the good

Not the things we have

Just the things we do

And the things we are

So just be and know that in time

We will all be free
