Owl Poetry & Prose

You do not Swear?

Oh you don’t swear do you?

Such a paragon of virtue

Are you sure? You never have?

Oh, you are self righteous, my bad

Oh dear, so you feel you are tainted

In my company of rampant profanity

Belittled is your virtuous sanctity

So what be your reward for such service to the Lord?

A special place in heaven? A sparing from the raven?

Who determines? Who defines?

If profanity in actual fact defiles?

Oh you do not know, you cannot see

Men blinded by their own self righteous sanctity
