Sunday Prayer

A day of light with sun, bright
A moment of peace, of satiated sleep
A thought of happiness for the inception of morn
A feeling like a new day is glad it’s born
A cascade of activities not chores to the mind
A coming together of all mankind
Even if it’s a moment, a trice
A thought of value, not price
A moment for those in need, a plan for a good deed
A kindling of hope that we all should breed
A belief in oneself despite the strife, despite the dread
May this be the nourishing of souls with bread
