A lament of the conscience…
Penned in darkness
Surrounded by madness
What thoughts do crowd my troubled mind?
Is one so ruthless that it lies latent
Covered up by lies, whiles and smiles?
Was I so blind to see
That which I always knew to be
Based on my own antiquity
In believing good triumphs evil ultimately?
But what if tis possible
That a person be capable
Of cruelty & indifference
Goading others by preference
A sadist at heart, a beautiful tart
Destined to destroy
All things that give joy?
An insidious serpent
Who is never repentant
Driven by pleasure & leisure
Passion & ambition
On a path of destruction burning down all obstruction
One who cannot lucidly see
That darkness which lies latent within thee
Has slid like a shadow & slithered around
Devoured the goodness & any light that abound
Till all that remains inside is a gaping black hole
A dead star believing it can control
The depth of darkness that pierces its soul
