Butter & Garlic Prawns with Spinach Fettuccini and Cheese Sauce
So I love prawns. And butter. And garlic. Together, that is a killer combo for me. And so one day in July 2017, while I was going through a rough patch in life, my bestie Johny decided to spend the night with me and so I whipped up a meal that we could both enjoy.
So I marinated the prawns in salt, pepper, lime and crushed garlic and then on a heated stove sautéed more chopped garlic with a generous dollop of butter. Once the garlic fragrance started enticing my nostrils, I added in the prawns and cooked them till they were just right.
Before this, I boiled some spinach fettuccini and proceeded to make a sauce with cream cheese, milk and some salt, pepper and oregano.
The result was a hearty meal of butter garlic prawns on spinach fettuccini with cream cheese sauce and I added some chopped cilantro for a green element. We completed the meal with Gewurztraminer wine which we had on my swing which has an actual grape vine growing around it.
