That Sparkle in a Bubble
Blowing bubbles has always been an act of creating some illusion, magic and fun since childhood. It’s one of those things you can do at whatever age because it brings with it a temporary joy and comfort in creation.
I have a big bubble wand that I use from time to time in the garden – just for some fun. Today I decided to wave that wand instead of blowing on it and lo and behold I created humongous bubbles and trails of baby bubbles. I did not have to blow them anymore – the waving did the trick. I felt like a kid – it was thrilling and magical and felt really good.
And so this Easter, in the midst of mundane distractions and trying to plan for the week, I decided that this was that magic sparkle I needed to ignite my being. For this Easter was quiet – no religious or familial celebrations. Just the same old rituals a Sunday brings. And in that quiet from the fray, I found in myself the ability to change something so that it brings a better result. And thus this became my Sunday lesson as it were – there is always magic and hope. We just need to know how to bring it out and it does not take much – just a belief in yourself and the willingness to try something different.
May this ignite in you a desire for something new.
